Now we are truly starting to settle in, we thought it was about time we introduced ourselves as the new owners of the wonderful Sportmans Lodge in Turangi as well as share a wee bit about ourselves so you may begin to get to know us.
Our names are Juliet and Matt Alexander and along with Stacey we have relocated to Turangi.
We are not entirely new to the area as for many years we have been coming to the lake district for a bit of R&R at our Bach at Motuoapa, sailing, tramping/hiking and of course for the fishing.
We love the laid back lifestyle and the slow gentle pace of the Turangi village and we couldn’t get enough of the scenery, attractions and the clean unpolluted alpine air so when we literally stumbled across the Sportsmans Lodge being on the market we had finally ticked enough boxes to sell up in Palmerston North and make Turangi our new home.
The previous owners Betty and Doug Carrick have gone “beyond the call” to help us transition smoothly into our new lives and we’d like to take this opportunity to thank them both sincerely as we embark on our own journey here at Sportsmans Lodge.
We can help you plan your outdoor activities and can arrange transport for you. We will go out of our way to make your time at the lodge homely, comfortable and the very best it can be.
We look forward to meeting all the regulars and new visitors in the near future.
