The lodge is a gem that doesn’t disappoint and is just perfect for relaxing with other guests at the end of a busy day. It has rustic charm and homely character that makes guests want to linger and soak up the classic Kiwi-style atmosphere.
We offer free WiFi to our guests and there is plenty of off street parking.
Our self-catering kitchen is a real hit with our guests. It is as much a place for chatting with other guests about their day’s activities as it is a place for preparing and eating culinary concoctions.
There are 3 ovens and fridges, electric jugs, toasters, a microwave as well as plenty of pots & pans. In the kitchen, each room has it’s own numbered cupboard with plates, eating utensils, cups and glassware and enough room to store non-perishables while you are staying with us.
We provide complementary milk, coffee & tea and our laundry is available to guests when not doing Lodge Business.

There is such a convivial atmosphere around the lodge when fishermen and walking groups are staying. The tales and laughter about their day’s activities and pride in their fishing catch creates such a buzz among the guests. It’s also a great place for family gatherings or mini conferences. No one likes to be wet! For those who have been out in the elements all day, we have a large drying room for you to dry off your waders, ski or tramping gear.
